We’ll take any reason to celebrate and today is National Margarita Day!
Here's the inside scoop on some of the best local spots for margaritas in Connecticut...
Geronimo’s (Fairfield & New Haven)
Geronimo’s -- Three words: They. Do. Pitchers! We like going to Geronimo’s for their fun ambiance but we LOVE going to Geronimo’s for their epic Happy Hour! They offer $5 Margs (and a ton of $4 appetizers) from 4- 7pm Monday through Saturday (that’s one looong happy hour, people). So grab your friends and head to Geronimo’s in New Haven or Fairfield.

Boxcar Cantina (Greenwich): Brain freeze, anyone? Head to Boxcar Cantina for the best-frozen margs around (we highly suggest the Super Chief). They even offer flights of frozen margs… and who doesn't love a good sampler!? We also love that they are committed to using the freshest, local ingredients in all of their dishes.

Bartaco (Westport, Stamford & West Hartford): We couldn’t do a list of the best margaritas without including Bartaco! Make sure to ask the waiter or waitress what flavors they have, as they change seasonally. We love that their cocktails are made fresh to order. We highly recommend the Mango Margarita!

Tequila Mockingbird (New Canaan): The proof is all in the name, right? These guys know a thing or two about making the perfect marg.

Bodega (Darien + Fairfield): Wait until you see their menu! They have an amazing assortment of margarita flavors; so everyone can find something they like. Go for the tequila, stick around for the food.

Coyote Blue (Middletown): These guys make one of the baddest margaritas that we’ve ever had. Served in 16 oz mason jars, these cocktails have quite the kick. They are so lethal in fact, that you are limited to just two per visit! Don’t worry, they offer half-sized versions as well. Highly recommend this fun, vibrant spot.

Mexicue (Stamford): We are so excited that Mexicue, a popular New York restaurant with multiple locations, now has a home in Harbor Point! Enjoy a margarita with waterside views. We are counting down the days until we can enjoy their rooftop.
